Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data highgroundacquisitions.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site has no analytics, no cookies, no local storage and no third-party scripts or fonts.
Who is responsible
The controller is Humanity Solutions, practising as Foresight-Transitions, KvK 71110178, Hamerstraat 67D, 2512 CX The Hague, the Netherlands. For any privacy question or request, email connectwithus@humanitysolutions.net.
What we collect through the contact form
The form does not send anything from this website. When you press “Open email draft”, your own email app opens a draft to connectwithus@humanitysolutions.net containing what you typed. You see the draft and decide whether to send it.
- Your first and last name and email address.
- Your company or organisation (optional).
- What you would like to discuss (the option you choose), which also appears in the subject line, and which button brought you to the form.
- The location or portfolio you mention (optional) and your message.
If you email us directly, we receive what you write and your email address.
What we collect through the partner enquiry form
The partner enquiry form, for developers and acquisition brokers, works the same way: pressing “Open email draft” opens a draft in your own email app, and nothing is sent from this website. The draft contains:
- Your name and company.
- Your role (developer, acquisition broker or other) and the region you work in.
- Your message, and a note that you have read this privacy notice.
When you send the draft, we also receive your email address.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
We use your details only to reply to you, set up an intro conversation and, if you want one, prepare a proposal or discuss a paid partnership. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). For general questions that are not about an assignment or partnership, the basis is our legitimate interest in answering you (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use your details for newsletters or marketing, and we do not sell them.
Who processes it for us
- Google (Google Workspace): hosts the mailbox connectwithus@humanitysolutions.net, where your email arrives.
- Hostinger: hosts this website. Like most web servers, it keeps technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, time and page requested) to run and secure the site.
Transfers outside the EU
Google is a US company, so email data may be processed in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google LLC is certified, or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses in Google’s data processing terms.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are deleted 12 months after our last contact unless they lead to an assignment. In that case we keep what tax and bookkeeping law requires (7 years) and delete the rest 2 years after the assignment ends. Hosting logs are kept by Hostinger for a limited period to run and secure the site.
Links to other sites
This site links to public sources such as the NASA sea level projection tool and the IPCC. If you open them, those sites handle your visit under their own privacy terms. We do not see what you look up there.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Email connectwithus@humanitysolutions.net. We reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
